Christmas Photo

A few weeks ago Mike VanderKallen at Studio V, a photographer that I have been working at lot with over the last few years, took our family photo in his studio. It had been about three years since we had a official family portrait so it was about time for a new one. Another reason that we needed a new photo was that we added a dog to our family this year. The photos turned out great and here is Cheryl’s pick.

First Evangelical Covenant Christmas Program

Every year in December our church puts on a Christmas program. The programs are different every year but they always end in the kids throwing these confetti sticks. It is “suppose” to be a surprise end to the show but they do this every year. The kids love it and I wanted to capture them in the act of throwing their confetti. I think this photo catches some of the children’s delight and the end to a lot of practicing.

Nathanael’s Thirteen Year Photo

Every fall shortly after Nathanael’s birthday I take a “one year older photo”. This is usually a huge fight because Nathanael hates to have his photo taken. However this year he actually cooperated mainly because I did not make him leave the yard to take his photo. Darby was in most of the photos and this helped. Here are my two favorites.
